Building A Network For College Success

Success in college isn’t just about what you know—it’s also about who you connect with and how you build relationships that open doors. Building a Network for College Success is a high-impact, interactive workshop designed to help students develop the confidence and strategy to create meaningful connections on campus and beyond.

Students will learn how to identify the right people to connect with, introduce themselves with confidence, and follow up in a way that builds trust and opportunity. This training provides practical tools students can use immediately to turn everyday conversations into mentorship, leadership growth, internships, scholarships, and career pathways.

In this training, students will learn how to:

• Build a mentor and opportunity network quickly (on campus and online)

• Use simple scripts for introductions, outreach, and asking for support

• Create a follow-up system that helps them stay remembered

• Leverage involvement and LinkedIn to expand opportunities

• Turn relationships into real outcomes: internships, scholarships, and referrals

Ideal for: Student leaders, student organizations, first-year programs, RAs, orientation leaders, peer mentors, TRIO/Student Support Services, and leadership cohorts.
